They are awesome. They are pioneers in grundge and indie. Bands like Nirvana were directly influenced by their music. "In Utero" was Kurt Cobain's answer to "Surfer Rosa." Both amazing albums. w00t! Pixies!

On the 13th I went to a Pixies concert, and I've got to say, The concert was amazing. It's probably the single best live performences I've eveer seen. In fact, I'm probably the biggest Pixies fan I know.

Thirty minutes before the show in Topeka, Iowa, a woman bought the millionth copy of the seventeen-year-old album, "Surfer Rosa." Since the RIAA (editors note: BOO) is based in DC, they ran down to Merriwether Post Pavilion and presented the Pixies Gold Records on stage!!! If this was fake, it was awfully convincing.
